Upper Lid Blepharoplasty
This procedure is used to remove excess skin and bulges from the upper eyelid and to form a new tight lid crease. Dr. Kellis was one of the first doctors in the state of Ohio to use a CO2 laser for this procedure. The surgery takes about 15 minutes for both eyes and is performed on an outpatient basis. Although the laser minimizes bruising and swelling, patients may expect some discomfort for one to two weeks.
Patients will use ice for the first three days and have the lid crease stitches removed after one week. A final visit is performed at four to six weeks. If you are having a lower lid blepharoplasty, resurfacing, or additional procedures, your post-operative regimen will be adjusted accordingly. Click here for photos of our patients.
